Wanting to create a clothing brand that reflected their own lifestyle and culture, former professional snowboarder/skateboarder Tim Hoad and graphic designer Paul Linton created King Apparel in 2003, a London based streetwear brand. Back in 2015 we had a chat with CEO Tim Hoad to find out more about his journey in creating a successful business.
Despite King Apparel’s success they have faced many hurdles. Tim Hoad describes to us how it took them three years before they got paid a salary from their company. However, instead of giving up they sought help from their local small business centre a national exporting programme and business advisers which gave them the boost they needed in order to make their business a success.
