The London Growth Hub’s team of business Advisers are here to support London businesses through COVID-19 and beyond. Supported by the Mayor of London, our advisers can help you work out your next steps, create a plan of action and provide a gateway into the vital resources, support and initiatives needed to sustain your business through this challenging period.

How does it work?
Free one-to-one support is provided via a dedicated business adviser based in our London Growth Hub sites. They will arrange a one-to-one call or video meeting using a variety of platforms including Skype, Zoom and WhatsApp.

Meet our advisers
Raj Tandon is our adviser in residence at our Hammersmith Hub.
Raj is an experienced entrepreneur, mentor and business adviser who has run several of his own businesses in the property, fashion, marketing and Fast-moving Consumer Goods sectors. He has extensive experience helping SMEs identify challenges and achieve their business goals. Raj also has a wealth of knowledge in helping start-ups develop their business proposition and get ready for funding. Raj’s strengths are in business strategy and development, sales and marketing. He has a very collaborative approach to working and is passionate about helping entrepreneurs and businesses succeed.
Patricia Ashford is our adviser in residence at our Tottenham Hub.
Patricia possesses extensive experience with SMEs at all stages of development as well as social enterprises and local authorities encompassing work on regeneration projects. As a business owner herself, Patricia delivered business mentoring, advisory and consultancy services; writing business plans, conducting in-depth business diagnostics, assessing businesses’ viability, sustainability and growth potential with a view to accessing finance. She previously worked as a Business Counsellor/Outer Boroughs’ Manager and SME Finance Mentor within enterprise agencies’ environments.
Kenny Finni is our adviser in residence at our Woolwich Hub.
Kenny is highly experienced in helping businesses fast track progress and achieve growth. Through his work at the Department for International Trade, running his own business and advising start-ups on the New Entrepreneurs Allowance programme, he understands how SMEs can best maximise current resources to sustain and develop. Kenny guides businesses to minimise risks, develop business plans, find sources of funding, implement cost-reductions and identify value-add opportunities. Kenny’s strength lies in his ability to help businesses understand and apply practical techniques for development.
Simon Paul is our adviser in residence at our Vauxhall Hub.
Simon has over 30 years’ experience advising businesses from pre-start through to multi-nationals, from the civil service through to sales management. His extensive knowledge across business functions and sectors comes through running his own business, which eventually led to him advising other business owners, academic study and continuous professional development. His ethos is that businesses should do more than just make money. They should connect and engage with their customers and suppliers to multiply the wealth that they create for themselves whilst creating sustainable jobs for the communities they serve.
Sheriff Alabi is our adviser in residence at our Croydon Hub.
Sheriff is a highly skilled business adviser with considerable experience in diverse business sectors in the UK and internationally. As a trainer, mentor and public speaker on matters of socio-economic development and entrepreneurship, he has successfully helped businesses through stages of start-up, survival and scale. Sheriff has assisted many businesses in raising their industry profiles, improving profitability, developing teams and seizing new market opportunities locally and overseas. Sheriff offers a warm personable approach to working with clients to help them succeed through their business journey.
Vivienne Scantlebury provides additional support for the regular team across all locations.
As an adviser, mentor and trainer, Vivienne has over 25 years of experience working with a wide variety of SMEs, helping them to identify challenges and achieve their business goals. She has managed and delivered numerous projects, both National and Borough wide, including intensive mentoring, marketing, financial planning and business strategy. Vivienne has supported businesses, from start-ups preparing and applying for funding to SMEs seeking to scale–up and find new international partners. Vivienne works in a collaborative manner and is very passionate about helping entrepreneurs and businesses to succeed.
